♦ Brilliant fall sky: Mix white with a small amount of Prussian Blue.
♦ Soft hazy sky: Mix white with a small amount of Prussian Blue, then add touches of Ultra Marine Blue, Rose Madder and Yellow Ochre.
♦ Overcast sky: Mix the basic sky colors with a touch of Burnt Umber.
♦ Sunrise sky: There is more moisture in the air at sunrise, so the colors are hazier and more pastel. Mix this sky using the same basic sky colors, but tone it down. Start with small quantities and experiment.
♦ Sunset sky: Sunset produces colors with fire in them. Experiment with brighter reds, yellows, oranges and Burnt Sienna.
♦ Colors of the rainbows: Red, yellow, green, blue and violet.
