How to mix skin colors.
Adult peachy skin: Mix white with a touch of Yellow Ochre and either Rose Madder or Alizarin Crimson. Add a touch of Cadium Yellow Light if needed.
Adult suntanned skin color: Add a touch of
Burnt Sienna
to the above peachy skin mixture.
Children’s skin color: Mix white with a touch of Yellow Ochre and Vermillion. Add a touch of
Burnt Sienna
for a darker tone.
Dark skin color: Add a bit more
Burnt Sienna
to the peach-skin base, then shade with
Burnt Umber
.
Skin shadows: Shadows and shading can be made with touches of green, violet and
Burnt Umber
